About “Grower”
An outdoor planter in UHMW-PE — ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene: water-, frost- and sun-proof. The wall is a single 20 mm sheet with fine grooves on the inside, bent into a circle: a smooth cylinder outside, ribbed inside. The base and the rim hold the shape; the welds are made from the inside, and outside you can honestly see one fine seam where the ends of the sheet meet. A plastic liner sits inside: soil and water stay in it and drain through an overflow and the holes in the base. Made to order.
How it works
1LinerSoil and water stay in it, so the planter wall is always dry. Its rim rests on the planter rim — no gap. Lifts out for cleaning or for the winter.
2OverflowHoles low on the side of the liner: a little water stays at the bottom for hot days, extra rain drains away.
3RimHolds the round shape at the top and covers the edge of the wall.
4WallA single sheet bent into a circle: smooth outside, ribbed inside.
5SeamWelded on the inside — from outside it is just a fine line.
6RingKeeps the liner exactly in the centre.
7BaseThe wall sits in a groove, so the weight of the soil goes into the floor; the holes let water out.
